CATALYST FINANCIAL PARTNERS FACILITATES ALTERNATIVE ASSET INVESTING.

Founded in 2008, Catalyst Financial Partners is a specialist investor events and services firm for the private funds industry. We link together alpha-oriented private funds and institutional grade investors.

The management of Catalyst has a deep network of institutional investors in in the US which makes up the bulk of allocations to the private investment funds industry in the world. The firm has particularly strong knowledge of family office investors as well as endowments and foundations, and their advisors.

We aim to foster relationships with investment managers that start with a consultative dialogue to understand an investment firm and its capital raising strategy. Our investor events are one component of our services platform, and we often consult with managers before, during and after our events.

For investors, we stay apprised on individual strategy preferences, return objectives, regional desires, and other characteristics that allow us to host managers that are most appropriate. Our events, as well as our management, also act as an information resource for investors on current fund investing industry trends and developments.

We have also created the ‘Catalyst Capital Network’, which helps us qualify our event participants, keep our wider audience informed, and connect together members in our part of the alternative investing industry. For comprehensive capital raising assignments we refer these to our sister company Catalyst Fund Advisors, a third party marketing firm.

The team of Catalyst has a successful track record in producing specialized investor events, and team members have previous experiences in investment banking, family office investing, private equity and hedge funds, as well as event planning.

The Catalyst Cap Intro Active Alpha Investing event seeks to host investment managers which are able to consistently produce Alpha. Such a manager uses a successful Active investing process to outdo, outsmart and outperform peers and relevant benchmarks.

Institutional investors have come to appreciate that they require Active Alpha investment managers for a portion of their investing needs. They cannot easily replicate Active Alpha investing themselves or find similar products through exposure or passive investing.

This event is investor driven and transactional in scope, hosting Active Alpha-oriented investment managers and institutional grade investors that are introduced to each other with a view to become investment partners.

Investment strategies at this fall 2020 event include a cross section of different focuses, markets, and geographies. Some notable strategies include L/S equity & Long-only, Credit & Fixed income, Merger Arb, Event driven, Quant & Options, Currencies, Macro & CTAs, International/Global markets, Distressed & Deep-value,

Commodities & Energy. Managers may offer their products through different structures, such as investment funds, SMAs or advisory features.

At the event managers give short presentations during lunch, which is followed by meeting sessions. There are no service providers, only managers and investors. The event concludes with a networking wine reception.

Introductions are accomplished through private meetings which are arranged prior the events, in an investor driven fashion based on the merits of each investment manager and the requests made by the investors.

Investors are pre-screened and pre-qualified prior the events, by questionnaires and talks. Investors constitute predominantly single and multi-family offices, investor intermediaries, and end-investors, located in the US but also internationally.
