Overview
A person is a unit of body, mind, and spirit – this is a core tenet of osteopathic philosophy. The American Academy of Osteopathy Convocation will review the latest updates of each of these aspects and their impacts on our patients with a history of trauma.
Why Attend – 2022
The conference kickstarts with a session on the sports medicine topics. Next, there will be a session on the ‘Body’, which examines the physical and musculoskeletal responses to trauma.
The ‘Mind’ session focuses on the neuropsychological and neuroanatomic response to trauma with a special emphasis on pain perception.
The ‘Spirit’ day will discuss the psychological aspects of trauma.
On the final day, all these considerations will be incorporated into an improved practice approach.

The American Academy of Osteopathy (AAO) is a 501c(3) nonprofit membership association focused on supporting osteopathic physicians who specialize in neuromusculoskeletal medicine and osteopathic manipulative medicine (NMM/OMM). Academy members consist of osteopathic physicians (DOs), osteopathic medical students, international clinicians and others.
The AAO provides quality continuing medical education and advocates on behalf of its members.
