Why Attend

A 4-day national symposium consisting of approximately 100 sessions and workshops, offering over 40 CE hours for Nurse Practitioners, Nurse Midwives and Physician Assistants, through Joint Accreditation (ACCME, ACPE, ANCC) and AANP, with acceptance of pertinent content by AAPA, ACNM and NAPNAP. Content will include clinical topics, innovative practice settings, research, professional development and other topics related to advanced practice nursing in primary care and acute care.

This national event attracts a loyal following of Nurse Practitioners, Nurse Midwives and Physician Assistants involved in primary care and acute care. As an exhibitor and/or supporting entity, you will have the opportunity to network with these highly skilled professionals during three days of accredited educational sessions, receptions and exhibition interaction. Approximately 1,000 Advanced Practice Clinicians are anticipated to be on hand to view the exhibits and update their needs for information on the latest products, services, techniques, research findings, and career enhancement opportunities.

Educational sessions are scheduled to allow specific periods of time for attendees to visit the exhibits. Catered functions will be held within the exhibit area. Special promotions will be held to encourage all participants to visit your exhibit booth.

Susan Hassmiller

National Academy of Medicine

Senior Scholar-In-Residence & Senior Adviser to the President on Nursing

Hear from the study director on the Institute of Medicine’s report, The Future of Nursing: Leading Change, Advancing Health. Dr. Hassmiller will discuss how nurse practitioners are helping to advance health equity in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic. There are expanded roles and opportunities for nurses and nurse practitioners. Additionally, the nursing field can help to ensure that everyone has a fair and just opportunity for health.

Susan B. Hassmiller, RN, PhD, FAAN, is currently serving as the Senior Scholar-In-Residence and Senior Adviser to the President on Nursing at the National Academy of Medicine. In this role, she is a key member of the leadership team for the Future of Nursing 2030 report. She is also the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Senior Adviser for Nursing, and in partnership with AARP, Hassmiller

directs the Foundation’s, Future of Nursing: Campaign for Action. This 50-state and District of Columbia effort strives to implement the recommendations of the Institute of Medicine’s report, The Future of Nursing: Leading Change, Advancing Health, and will additionally seek to build a Culture of Health. Hassmiller served as the report’s study director. Hassmiller’s work has included service in public

health settings at the local, state and national levels, including HRSA. She taught community health nursing at the University of Nebraska and George Mason University in Virginia. Hassmiller is an elected member of the National Institute of Medicine, now the National Academy of Medicine, a fellow in the American Academy of Nursing and sits on other advisory committees and boards, including the Hackensack Meridian Health System, UnitedHealth, Carrier Clinic and the American Red Cross. She is the recipient of many awards and three honorary doctorates, but most notably the Florence Nightingale Medal, the highest international honor given to a nurse by the International Committee of the Red Cross.
