The Dysphagia Research Society Annual Meeting focuses on advancing the science of swallowing.
The Dysphagia Research Society will host the WDS (World Dysphagia Summit) during the week of the DRS Annual Meeting.
The World Dysphagia Summit (WDS) is a two-day Summit that was initiated as a joint effort by the European Society of Swallowing Disorders (ESSD), the Japanese Society for Dysphagia Rehabilitation (JSDR), and the Dysphagia Research Society (DRS) in 2017.

The WDS Summit provides the opportunity for researchers and clinicians across the globe to debate, discuss, and seek consensus on: common diagnostic tools and procedures; minimum standards of care; health economics of dysphagia; epidemiology of dysphagia; diagnostic and treatment innovations for the care of patients with dysphagia, and more.
The Annual Meeting will be bringing together the global international community of scientists and clinician scholars to educate, motivate, and innovate Dysphagia Care via Transdisciplinary Approaches to Aerodigestive Function and Disorders Across the Lifespan and improve the lives of millions of patients around the globe. Researchers will integrate and transcend disciplinary approaches to generate fundamentally new conceptual frameworks, theories, models, and applications.

• to enhance and encourage research pertinent to normal and disordered swallowing and related functions
• to attract and encourage new students, investigators and others from diverse backgrounds to the field and foster their development within a collegial, supportive, and inclusive environment, etc.
