About Us
Christmas Expo is owned and produced by sisters, Joyce Perhac with ProShow, Inc., an event planning company based in Pittsburgh, PA and Janice Blasko, owner of ChristmasLightFinder.com.

The duo have collaborated on numerous events and projects over the years and both have “that crazy lighting enthusiast” passion. Janice has attended PLUS, as well as mini-PLUS events and decorates to the nines for Halloween and Christmas. Joyce’s home is also the only one in her neighborhood with an outdoor display.

It all began in 1996
Christmas Expo got its start in 1996 when Chuck Smith started the PlanetChristmas.com website to give the decorating community from around the world eager a place to learn and share information. The site’s popularity led to the first PlanetChristmas Lights Up Symposium (PLUS) event in 2003.

This event gave lighting enthusiasts a place to meet each other and take decorating classes from the experts. Over the years, the focus has continued to be on creating great Christmas displays both indoors and out and the name was changed to Christmas Expo.

Why is this show in the summer?
Most over-the-top decorators will tell you that they start thinking about Halloween and Christmas mid-summer, if not earlier! In addition, holiday vendors have usually placed their seasonal orders by mid-summer and are ready to sell all those new products.

What is Christmas Expo?
Christmas ExpoChristmas Expo is a 3-day event for holiday lighting and decorating enthusiasts. This includes anyone who decorates their home or office all the way through someone who decorates their local park or shopping center,  or works for a city and decorates the town. It doesn’t matter if you are a beginner or if you’ve been doing this a while – Christmas Expo offers something for every level (newbies included) and every interest (pro’s are welcome too).

Shopping
Vendors who specialize in lighting, wireframes, animation, supplies and more are usually in attendance. Many of our vendors also carry supplies for other holidays as well.

Education
The best part of Expo is the classes! We offer a wide range of seminars and workshops that all revolve around some aspect of decorating. It could be how to work with animation software from various vendors, DIY decorations, securing your display, how to repair your inflatables, creating great Christmas trees, soldering, electrical and more.

If you sell holiday lighting or decorating supplies or services, this event will get you in front of your customers.
Our audience consists of residential outdoor decorators, commercial decorators such as parks, cities, zoo’s gardens, etc., as well as businesses that specialize in Christmas decorating such as holiday lighting installers.

Co-Owned and managed by a professional event planner with over 25 years experience in the industry managing small meetings to large convention trade shows and an extreme decorator and owner of ChristmasLightFinder.com.

Booth space is open only to vendors who specialize in indoor and outdoor holiday decor.

Christmas Expo is not a craft or gift expo
 
Interested in being a part of Christmas Expo?

We pride ourselves on being different than many consumer or trade shows. We don’t nickel/dime the vendors to death or charge high fees to supplement other parts of the expo. Floor space is reasonably priced. Our convention facility is chosen with the event needs in mind in areas that provide convenient access to attendees and exhibitors.

Show setup is Wednesday and the doors are open to the public Thursday through Saturday.

The vendor hall closes at 4:00pm on Saturday.
Vendors are required to keep their booths open and manned for the entire time the vendor hall is open. We do not permit early pack-up or early move-out.
Vendors are required to keep their product/display within their paid booth area.
Your space must be vacated by 9pm on Saturday.
