Overview: This webinar will concentrate on the definition of diversity today and the many different aspects of a diverse workforce.
We will cover areas of sensitivity and inclusion as well as legal considerations for protected classes and the business case for diversity. We will explore assumptions, beliefs, generalities, discrimination, prejudice, perception, and stereotypes. We will cover changing demographics and top growth groups, generational diversity, gender differences, and the differences in personality profiles. Our emphasis will be on how to maximize the different talents and perspectives of our workforce and to promote better working relationships. We will include ways to develop or enhance diversity programs, define who is responsible for diversity and give the main reasons why diversity programs succeed or fail.
Why should you attend: Although a large percentage of this behavior is unprotected by current labor law, the effects can be wide-reaching from an increase in absenteeism, medical costs, and unwanted turnover to a decrease in production, morale and reputation.
