About:
American Medical Forum (AMF) was originally founded in 2012 by physicians who believed in the importance of providing an open forum for learning. In this forum, attendees would be able to learn about the latest advances from leading medical specialists from top universities.
Participants are able to earn a large number of CME (Continuing Medical Education) credits at each conference. By having short, concise lectures with a significant focus on Q & A, participants are able to interact and get their questions answered, providing a more participative experience.
In a new initiative, AMF conferences have incorporated the use of technology, to allow participants to interact online. Participants gained the ability to ask their questions via their smartphones, tablets or computers. They also can vote on submitted questions already in the queue.
Beginning in 2016, AMF began offering conferences via live stream broadcast. In these broadcasts, participants can earn the same credit hours as in-person attendees, while participating from the comfort of their homes or offices. They can also engage in the Q & A sessions as if they were there in-person.
AMF began offering ABIM MOC credits in 2017, in addition to AMA and AAFP Prescribed credits. This provides a space where participants can comply with both the board requirements and the continuing medical education requirements.
