To gain insight and appreciation of the era known as the Renaissance. Thank you for your interest in the 17th Annual 2009 Florida Renaissance Festival. Our Festival will be open to the public for 5 weekends beginning Feb 9th through March 9th 2008, at Quiet Waters Park, in Deerfield Beach including Monday, February 18th, Presidents Day. Additionally, we will be open for 1 School Day, Monday Feb 11th. Quiet Waters Park is a beautifully wooded park conveniently located in northern Broward County. Because our Festival is centrally located, we draw patrons from 3 major South Florida counties, Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach. We have a very aggressive marketing campaign, including extensive TV and radio advertising, ticket giveaways, and an advanced ticket sales program. We enjoyed our highest attendance to date in 2008, and anticipate no less for the 2009 season.

Each year the Fulton Volunteer Fire Department & the Town of Fulton sponsor Oysterfest, a salute to the tasty bi-valve found in our local waters. Oysterfest features carnival rides, games, food, an oyster eating contest, live music, and unique vendor booths. Oysterfest officials have been working with seafood sources along the Texas Gulf Coast to locate the freshest oysters and other seafood for the event and, as usual, the most popular entertainment. This years celebration is a labor of love for the Fulton Volunteer Fire Dept. Over the past 28 years, they have used proceeds from the festival to purchase life-saving and fire-fighting equipment. This year proceeds will be used to pay off the New Truck and equipment. Oysterfest proceeds are the major source of funding for fire protection equipment in the community.

The Leesburg Center for the Arts began in the year 2000 as a redevelopment tool under the Leesburg Partnership to address the communitys need for a centralized creative component. Katherine Cook, a local artist and teacher, sought the help of Joe Shipes and the Leesburg Partnership. The Partnership agreed to expand its vision and to utilize the arts as a community revitalization tool. FeatherFest 2009 is Galvestons seventh annual celebration of the birds and natural heritage of the Upper Texas Coastal area, in spring. The Birders Bazaar is a special opportunity for vendors to interact with festival birders. Vendors of products suitable for a nature audience, from optics to books and art, will be at the venue. The festival is held from early Thursday to Sunday afternoon, vendors must register and attend the entire event to allow attendees more time to shop and learn. While not the peak of the spring birding migration season (which occurs in late April, early May), the timing provides an opportunity to see a great mix of bird species. Visitors will see the earlier spring migrant species plus the bird species that winter on the Gulf coast and which have not yet departed for their breeding grounds to our north. A multitude of species can be seen, more than 200 bird species might be tallied during the 4 days. It will be fun to see which birds visitors can add to their lists in 2009. The Galveston Island Nature Tourism Council (GINTC), a community-based volunteer organization, was formed in 2004 by a coalition of Galveston residents, many of whom had been involved over the previous two years in FeatherFest, an annual Galveston birding festival. However, GINTCs current Board of Directors, Board of Advisors, and membership represent a wide range of interests, and are not confined to just those with birding activities.

We are happy to assist the vendors and commercial exhibitors to make the Puyallup Spring Fair and the Puyallup Fair experience more enjoyable. Food, animals, gardening, commercial exhibits, crafts, rides, and FREE entertainment highlight the 2009 Spring Fair in Puyallup. There is something for everyone during this exciting event that is quickly becoming a tradition in the Pacific Northwest. This event drew 85,000 patrons in 2008 even though it threatened to snow on Saturday. Average attendance has varied from 70,000 to 120,000 depending on weather. We accept applications for Commercial Exhibit and Concession space year-round. The Puyallup Fair offers two opportunities each year to exhibitors. These are the Puyallup Spring Fair, a four-day event occurring mid-April, and the Puyallup Fair, a seventeen-day event that takes place during September. The festival is a great place to find the plants and flowers a homeowner needs to beautify his yard this spring. Visitors will also find a wide variety of garden vegetable plants to start that home garden. Each spring, the Pee Dee Market hosts the Southern Plant and Flower Festival and each fall the Fall Plant and Flower Festival. The festivals have become annual pilgrimages for visitors from all over the state and nation. Some visitors plan their vacations around the events which feature a vast array of plants, flowers, and other gardening items for planting and lawn beautification. The South Carolina Department of Agriculture (SCDA) is a state agency established by the South Carolina Legislature in 1879. The commissioner of agriculture, who is elected in the general election every four years, heads the agency. The current commissioner, Hugh Weathers, was elected in 2006. The mission of the South Carolina Department of Agriculture is to promote and nurture the growth and development of South Carolinas agriculture industry and its related businesses while assuring the safety and security of the buying public. Founded in 2004, the Arkansas Literary Festival introduces readers to nationally and internationally recognized authors work, as well as the work of emerging writers. By hosting workshops and other events, the Festival strives to serve all levels of readers and writers. The Central Arkansas Library System (CALS) has adopted the Arkansas Literary Festival and plans to make the sixth annual event the best yet. Were adding new venues for speakers, fashioning thought-provoking workshops and preparing exciting activities for all ages. And, were moving vendors even closer to the action! Vendors Row will be adjacent to the new $21 million Arkansas Studies Institute, across from the Cox Creative Center and within steps of the Main Library. The Boulder City Fine Arts Festival began in 1985 as the Clark County Artists Show. The name reflects the feeling at that time...there were few shows for the artists of Clark County to participate in and the Art in the Park in Boulder City was being overtaken by outside artists and craftsmen. Later the name was changed to Clark County Art Show with eligibility opened to all fine artists in southern Nevada. The new millenium brought a new name to the event. The 2009 Festival of the Arts takes place April 21-26 in Downtown Oklahoma City at the Festival Plaza, Stage Center and the Myriad Botanical Gardens. Hours are Tuesday - Saturday 11 a.m.-9 p.m. and Sunday 11 a.m.-6 p.m. The Visual Arts include 144 Plaza Artists from across the nation that exhibit on Hudson Avenue, Windscapes, a kinetic art exhibit in the Myriad Gardens, and a large-scale SculpturePark exhibit in the Stage Center Lawn. The Culinary Arts consist of the International Food Row. Each food vendor is partnered with an area non-profit organization.
