Searching: Criteria
To acccess all records and to search the database by different criteria, you'll need to become a paying Member. To maximize the efficiency of your search, a number of search criteria have been put in place so you can quickly find what you need. These criteria include:
|
|
Make your search as broad or narrow as you'd like. EIA will report any event that fits your search criteria, and as a Member you will have access to all the information within the database. Your searches can be sorted by clicking on the column headers.
Searching: Save Queries
Did you search for something that was especially valuable for you? Save it! Members can create a name for their saved searches so the events and their search criteria can be used at a later date. All saved queries can be stored indefinitely (as long as your membership remains active.)When the saved search is accessed again, any newly added event data that matches the saved criteria will be displayed in red. Members will be able to view event details to new matches and delete them if desired.
As a Member, you can add your own personal notes to events you save. The Notes field will be handy for capturing additional information about an event, such as best days for attendance, information on weather or accommodations, answers to questions from event staff, and more. Make sure you keep your membership active as notes and saved searches will be deleted 60 days after your membership expires.
Create Preferred Event Lists
Suppose a saved search produces more events than you can attend. With EIA, you can narrow your saved search to only those events you want to attend and keep it as a saved list. EIA can store both your saved searches and saved lists, so you don't lose the original search results.Private Events
You can also add events to your list that aren't included in our database — events that may be applicable to only you or your company. This will help you build a final event schedule.Removing Events from the Database
All events that are 24 months expired will be deleted from Events In America. This will also remove all notes and other data associated with the event. A Contributor may deactivate his/her events from Member searching. Deactivating an event will not remove the event from our database nor affect any Member notes or lists which might include this event.User Management
Our system controls all user and event data. If you are experiencing a problem with your account or an inability to contribute event information, please contact us.Retrieving Your Password
Should you forget your password, a system exists for Members and Contributors to have their passwords sent to them via email by entering their email address.
