Join The American Concrete Institute for their annual convention in Dallas.
The American Concrete Institute (ACI) is a nonprofit technical and educational society organized in 1904 and is one of the world's leading authorities on concrete technology. ACI is a forum for the discussion of all matters related to concrete and the development of solutions to problems. ACI conducts this forum through conventions and meetings; the ACI Structural Journal, the ACI Materials Journal, Concrete International, and technical publications; chapter activities; and technical committee work. As its chartered objective states, its purpose is "to provide a comradeship in finding the best ways to do concrete work of all kinds and in spreading that knowledge."
ACI conventions are dedicated to improving the design, construction, maintenance, and repair of concrete structures. Conventions provide a forum for networking and education and the opportunity to provide input on concrete industry codes, specifications, and guides.
ACI conducts two conventions each year: one in the spring and one in the fall. Sites of the ACI conventions vary throughout the United States, Canada, and Mexico and are chosen to give as many members as possible an opportunity to attend.
At each of these conventions, committees meet to develop the standards, reports, and other documents necessary to keep abreast of the ever-changing world of concrete technology. Committee meetings are open to all registered convention participants to attend.
Approximately 35 sessions with over 200 speakers allow attendees to learn the latest in concrete technology and practices.
Additionally, ACI conventions offer numerous forums to network and connect with some of the most well-informed individuals in the concrete industry. Expect to meet with engineers, architects, contractors, educators, manufacturers, and material representatives from all over the world.
There may be many networking opportunities at the The ACI Spring 2012 Convention - American Concrete Institute. Find out more in the event details below.
