SHPE Conference 2013 - Society of Hispanic Engineers
The SHPE Conference is the major event for the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers, Inc. and the largest technical and career conference for Hispanics in the country.
Each year, the SHPE Conference attracts over 5,000 engineering professionals, students and corporate representatives. The conference is an opportunity for engineering companies and corporations to recruit top talent from SHPE membership. It also provides educational, technical and career opportunities for professional and student engineers.
Ideal for pre-college, college, and graduate students, teachers and advisors, and professionals who are pursuing careers or are employed in disciplines concentrating on science, technology, engineering, math (STEM) and other technical fields.
Career Fair and Graduate School Expo
The flagship event for the annual SHPE Conference is the Career Fair and Graduate School Expo. As an exhibitor, you will have the opportunity to connect with and interview the best and brightest STEM Hispanic talent. Whether you are offering internships, full-time opportunities, or graduate programs, the Career Fair and Graduate School Expo is for you. As an added benefit offered only to our exhibitors, seize the opportunity to gain increased exposure to our students by also competing to conduct a workshop during the conference.
The Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers (SHPE) was founded in Los Angeles, California, in 1974 by a group of engineers employed by the city of Los Angeles. Their objective was to form a national organization of professional engineers to serve as role models in the Hispanic community.
