The principal goal of this meeting is to educate attendees in patient blood management, which includes the timely application of evidence-based medical and surgical concepts designed to maintain hemoglobin concentration, optimize hemostasis, and minimize blood loss in an effort to improve patient outcomes. The target audience is medical professionals who care for anemic and surgical patients and administrators who are interested in improving patient outcomes while reducing healthcare costs. SABM is a multi-disciplinary organization, and meeting attendance includes a wide variety of medical specialties, comparable to the composition of our membership.
The Society for the Advancement of Blood Management has 480 members and hosts one annual meeting per year with exhibit, sponsorship and satellite symposium options. Breaks, refreshments and receptions are held with exhibitors in the exhibit hall. Exhibitors receive significant onsite exposure and networking opportunities as well as recognition in the syllabi, signage, onsite PowerPoint slides, newsletters that circulate within the membership and global blood management field, and on the website. Exhibitor product descriptions with live links to your information are posted on the SABM website for one year as a reference for medical professionals worldwide. Higher level exhibit fees provide higher benefits and recognition in the above areas, and they also help SABM with the operational funding to conduct these critical educational offerings.
