SABM Annual Meeting 2013 - Society for the Advancement of Blood Management
The Society for the Advancement of Blood Management (SABM®) is a growing, exciting society dedicated to improving patient outcomes through optimal blood management. Patient Blood Management (PBM) is the timely application of evidence-based medical and surgical concepts designed to maintain hemoglobin concentration, optimize hemostasis and minimize blood loss in an effort to improve patient outcome.
The principal goal of this meeting is to educate attendees in patient blood management, which includes the timely application of evidence-based medical and surgical concepts designed to maintain hemoglobin concentration, optimize hemostasis, and minimize blood loss in an effort to improve patient outcomes. We anticipate 400-500 attendees will participate in the 2 1/2 day conference.
The target audience for the SABM Annual Meeting is medical professionals who care for anemic and surgical patients and administrators who are interested in improving patient outcomes while reducing healthcare costs. SABM is a multi-disciplinary organization, and meeting attendance includes a wide variety of medical specialties, comparable to the composition of our membership.
