Overview

Overview:

A NGAUS tradition, the annual conference allows members to gather and vote on the top legislative priorities for NGAUS, share information and celebrate the camaraderie of being National Guard and NGAUS members.

More than 3,500 attendees and spouses are anticipated to attend this conference at McCormick Place in Chicago. The conference attendees include high ranking officials from the Department of Defense along with leaders from Congress. Each state will also be represented by the command staff of the states’ National Guard and other representatives of the states’ leadership. It was formed by militia officers in 1878 to obtain better equipment and training by petitioning Congress for more resources.
