EVENT DESCRIPTION

Event Overview:

  • Started in 2003, METROCON is the largest not-for-profit, self-produced, volunteer-driven, design specification-focused regional expo and conference in the USA.
  • The annual event introduces new products and ideas to the region’s community of Interior Designers, Architects, Specifiers, Facility Managers, Real Estate Professionals, Students & other Essential Industry Members catering to the built environment.
  • Exhibitors and education cater to the corporate, education, healthcare, hospitality, institutional, multifamily, residential, and retail design fields.
  • Committee volunteers representing several associations focusing on the built environment have joined forces and pooled resources to offer the best in exhibitors and continuing education to their members and beyond.
  • This year's METROCON partnering associations are (in alphabetical order): ASID Texas ChapterASID Texas Gulf Coast ChapterCSI Dallas ChapterNEWH Dallas Chapter, and USGBC Texas Chapter. Any income from the event goes back to the Committee volunteers’ respective built environment organizations to fund valuable programming and scholarships or to those organizations’ respective foundations and designated charities.

Exhibitor Information:

METROCON is affordable. Depending on your Membership Status* and whether or not you choose to upgrade your booths, the cost to exhibit runs between $5.00/sf - $11.00/sf. That’s for 16.5 hours of expo time over two days. Plus, you get 3 complimentary exhibitor badges and 3 complimentary Happy Hour drink tickets for every 10’x10’ booth you buy.

METROCON is easy on you. The show is on one floor, so move-in and tear-down doesn’t require fighting over elevators or navigating stairs. As long as you don’t require motorized equipment, then you can use your own installers and do everything yourself.

METROCON has made some exciting changes. We want to create the best possible experience for you, so we've brought on new partners from the built environment to expand our geographic and demographic reach, as well as increasing the quality of our offerings to attract more attendees.

METROCON means business. Our regional show may not be as big and beautiful as the national shows (or as expensive!), but it works, and this year we are collecting more data from both you and our attendees - who work in the corporate, education, healthcare, hospitality, institutional, multifamily, residential, and retail design fields - so that we can do a better, more targeted job of matchmaking.

METROCON has ♥. The A&D industry volunteers who govern this show are passionate about bringing our regional design community together to make connections, advance careers, and do business. We want you to be successful because it makes us happy. It’s as simple as that.

There may be many networking opportunities at the METROCON 17 Expo & Conference. Find out more in the event details below.
