Art in the Park will be celebrating its 30th year Anniversary as Marietta Square’s premier event celebrating the arts by featuring both local and national artist displaying their fine arts on Labor Day weekend. Widely acclaimed as one of the best fine art shows in Atlanta, and the only in Cobb County, this FREE Labor Day tradition in and around Glover Park appeals to patrons and budgets of all ages.

In addition to the incredible 175 Fine Artists, the festival also features: Chalk Spot - a street chalk art display for aspiring artists from grades K-12. Children’s Art Alley- a free interactive ‘make and take’ area. Tiny Tot Town - an area specifically designed for toddlers with small toys, bounce house and crawling tube. Atlanta Street Music Cafe- take a break, enjoy lunch from local restaurants, food trucks or enjoy a beverage listening to local musicians. The award winning ‘Painted Pots’ & Historic Marietta Square- unique shops, boutiques, museums, galleries and more!

A Street Chalk Art Display
The Chalk Spot - a street chalk art display for children of all ages is scheduled for Saturday, September 3, 2016 during the annual 30th annual Art in the Park Festival in downtown Marietta. Participants will have the opportunity to create one-of-a-kind designs in 3-foot square spaces. The art will remain on display throughout the festival-weather permitting. Registration is recommended and a discount will be offered for those who submit their application postmarked by August 19th. All registered participants will receive a 30 count box of sidewalk chalk, and a “goodie bag” with 2 admission tickets to the North Georgia State Fair and other coupons (valued at $20.00)

Proceeds will benefit the Marietta High School Visual Arts Club. The club hosts two high school art show and offers cash prices to student winners and is dedicated to creating a fun atmosphere for students interested in all types of art and digital media.  The event is free to watch and free parking is available in the Cobb County parking decks located on Waddell St.

The 30th annual Art in the Park festival is a three-day juried Fine Art Festival, which takes place in Glover Park on the Marietta Square, Marietta Georgia and attracts over 45,000 guests. The festival is also an award winning event by the International Festival and Event Association and the Southeast Festival and Event Association.
