The Farm – With more than five acres of agriculture and animals, The Farm is the spot to not only love, but learn a few things. Find out how to grow your own garden no matter what size of space you have. Head over to the barns for pig races, cuddly critters and the newest member to The Farm, a curly-haired pig known as a Mangalitsa. It looks like a sheep. Is it a peep or a shig?
The Art Classic: Sept. 4 – 27
In partnership with the Los Angeles Art Association, the Millard Sheets Art Center presents The Art Classic, 10 emerging visions for contemporary art at the LA County Fair. Our featured artists include: Caroline Jones, Tanner Goldbeck, Tom Lamb, Vincent Tomczyk, Steve Jakobsen , Gabor Ekecs, Rachel Kaster, Josh Levine, Jana Cruder, and Diane Silver.
See art demonstrations by the Mid Valley Arts League and the Associated Artists of the Inland Empire. Featuring Hands-on workshops for all ages and The Ceramic Studio’s Clay Play. Plus Conor Collins photo installation Mud Volcanoes of the Salton Sea.
Don’t miss the new Thunder Alley experience free with your Fair admission. Thunder Alley is a motorsports celebration for the whole family featuring all kinds of awesome vehicles from planes to boats and some amazing cars too. Discovery Cube will provide a sneak peek of their New Hot Wheels: Race to Win! exhibit and Planes of Fame will get your motor running and your imagination soaring. And at sunset, we’ll fire up the evening with Ignite! our own special way of filling the air with fire and thunder. Come back often for special events and programs throughout the day. Thunder Alley is made possible by the NHRA Motorsports Museum, Discovery Cube OC, and Planes of Fame Museum.
