Overview: The Systems Integration Life Cycle (SILC) Methodology is used by many organizations to ensure success in the delivery of systems integration projects. The methodology has continued to evolve since the 1970s to reflect the changes in the industry and our increasing experience with IT. Although it is either an IT organization or a consulting house that normally assumes total responsibility for the solution, the methodology emphasizes that projects are carried out in partnership with both parties in most cases.
There is no magic involved - just a proven logical approach that provides for making sound business decisions. Some of the decision-making involves technical issues but the major effort involves identifying a solution that meets your requirements and that will work in your environment. The SILC methodology is adaptable and can be tailored for every kind of project, from mainstream commercial applications to real-time process control systems.
Why should you attend: As IT infrastructure continues to grow, the size of projects to migrate and upgrade systems are also growing. Managing these tasks, people and processes are getting more complex. SILC is a way to tame these projects.
