This year's seminar marks the 21st year that Joint Forces and all federal pharmacists and pharmacy technicians will convene for a single, combined education and training program.
The Joint Federal Pharmacy Seminar (JFPS) is the largest annual event for the Army, Navy, Air Force, Coast Guard, VA, and USPHS pharmacy communities. Active duty reserve, civil-service and retired pharmacists and pharmacy technicians are invited to participate in this education and training-filled event. The American Pharmacists Association, working with the federal pharmacy advisors, coordinates the education and meeting activities and serves as the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) provider.
This seminar has grown since its first meeting in 1994 and continues to grow in both support from industry and in the number of quality educational and training activities. Attendees will meet to learn and share solutions to challenges facing today's federal pharmacy professionals. The meeting offers a variety of ACPE-certified continuing pharmacy education (CPE) and training programs, providing approximately 18 hours of CPE credit. The education opportunities include industry-supported certificate training programs as well as presentations and poster sessions focusing on mission-essential pharmacy operations. The poster abstracts will be published in the Journal of the American Pharmacists Association (JAPhA).
In addition to the educational and training programs, attendees are provided an opportunity to interact with industry through a very robust exhibit and training program, with over 100 organizations providing support in the past. Participating supporters look forward to attending the meeting as an opportunity to interact with federal pharmacists and increase their awareness of cutting-edge technology and services to provide quality health care. It is the meeting to learn about new happenings in this market! Face-to-face learning and sharing among JFPS participants, as well as attending service-specific leadership sessions, provides many opportunities for attendees to learn more about the practice of pharmacy in their respective service.
JFPS 2015 will offer a high-quality, education-based program for pharmacists and pharmacy technicians focused on topics attendees need to improve their pharmacy management operations and enhance their clinical and patient care services.
JFPS 2015 is the meeting that matters most if your company is trying to connect with federal pharmacy leaders and innovators! Exhibit or support an event at JFPS 2015 to gain access to these top decision makers in federal pharmacy.
APhA was the first-established national professional society of pharmacists, having been founded in 1852 as the American Pharmaceutical Association. It remains the largest association of pharmacists in the United States, boasting more than 60,000 practicing pharmacists, pharmaceutical scientists, student pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and others interested in advancing the profession. Through a House of Delegates that meets each year at the APhA Annual Meeting & Exposition, APhA provides a forum for discussion, consensus building, and policy setting for the profession of pharmacy. In fact, nearly all of pharmacy's specialty organizations trace their roots to APhA, having originally been a section or part of this broad foundation of pharmacy.
