The International Trademark Association (INTA) is a not-for-profit membership association of more than 5,500 trademark owners and professionals, from more than 190 countries, dedicated to the support and advancement of trademarks and related intellectual property as elements of fair and effective national and international commerce.
The Association was founded in 1878 by 17 merchants and manufacturers who saw a need for an organization "to protect and promote the rights of trademark owners, to secure useful legislation and to give aid and encouragement to all efforts for the advancement and observance of trademark rights." After 130 years, INTA continues its mission to represent the trademark community, shape public policy and advance professional knowledge and development.
The International Trademark Association's (INTA's) Annual Meeting is the one must-attend event in the intellectual property field, and the 2012 Annual Meeting in Washington is set to be the best yet. There will be five days of networking, educational and professional development opportunities, as well as committee meetings and exhibits. The three days of educational programs include valuable skill-building workshops, industry breakouts and educational sessions focused on international topics, as well as table topics during breakfast and lunch. Also available during the meeting is an exhibition hall, with more than 80 exhibitors featuring new products and cutting-edge demonstrations. The schedule is packed with networking opportunities, making the INTA Annual Meeting the only place where you can network with more than 8,500 of your colleagues and keep up-to-date.
Exhibiting at INTA's educational programs offers companies, firms, non-profits, governments and other organizations a powerful forum to introduce or promote their products, services and initiatives to an influential group of trademark professionals. Participating as an exhibitor in an INTA program is a cost-effective way to meet clients and customers, develop new relationships and demonstrate your organization's commitment to the trademark community.
