Every year we are asked the same question, “How are you going to top last year?” And if you’ve attended HOW Design Live in the past you know it was an amazing, exhilarating and career changing conference. But our programming and events team is up for the challenge to make each year better than the previous one. That’s our promise to you.

HOW Design Live is a five day event filled with breakout sessions, keynotes and workshops. It offers the creative inspiration to refuel your passion for your work combined with the practical knowledge you need to achieve and advance in your career.

It is not uncommon for people to approach us and tell us how attending HOW Design Live not only changed the course of their career, but their life. And it is very common for people to make lifelong friendships at the conference. HOW Design Live has become the annual reunion for many, many designers year after year. That’s powerful stuff.

About HOW:

Founded in 1985, the HOW brand began its life as a print magazine. Today, the brand still includes an award-winning design magazine, but has grown to encompass a host of products and events including several design competitions, HOW U’s online design courses, design books (available at and, of course, HOW Events. Whether you work for a design firm, for an in-house creative department or for yourself, it’s our mission to serve the business, creativity and technology needs of graphic designers.
