The Emerald City Comicon is an annual comic book and pop culture convention that takes place in beautiful downtown Seattle, Washington. Started in 2003 and originally taking place at CenturyLink Stadium (formerly Qwest Field), ECCC changed venue to its current home at the Washington State Convention Center in 2008. In 2011, the show expanded to become a three-day event. 2012 marked the beginning of our second decade of existence.
Emerald City Comicon (ECCC) is the Northwest’s premier three-day weekend dedicated to pop culture. Visitors come from around the region and around the world to celebrate the latest trends in comic books, film, animation and gaming. ECCC specializes in bringing fans together with their favorite artists, writers, actors and celebrities - creating an experience that they will never forget.
In 2014, ECCC’s attendance topped 70,000 for the weekend. We are projecting to grow even more in 2015. That means a bigger, dedicated audience with disposable income, interest in art and technology, and a penchant for early adoption. ECCC hosts an audience that uses social media to show and share their experience at the show with all of their audience.
