The Eastern Economic Association is a not-for-profit corporation whose object is to promote educational and scholarly exchange on economic affairs.
Towards that end, the Association encourages the freedom of research and discussion.
In pursuit of these goals it publishes the Eastern Economic Journal and holds an annual conference and meeting of members.
The Eastern Economic Association holds an annual conference, usually in late February or March, in various cities on the eastern seaboard of the United States. Recent conferences have been held in Boston (1999, 2002), Crystal City, Virginia, Washington, D.C. (2000), New York (2001, 2003, 2005), Philadelphia (2006) and Washington, D.C. (2004).
