Why should I attend the DEC Conference?
The DEC Conference is a great opportunity to learn from leading practitioners, researchers, experts and policymakers in the field of early childhood special education, early intervention and related disciplines. We offer many opportunities for professionals to connect, network and develop collaborative working relationships. The DEC Conference is a great learning experience for first-time attendees and long-time DEC members.
The DEC Conference brings together over 1,200 professionals and families connected to the field of early childhood special education, including parents, higher education faculty, educators, administrators, consultants, researchers, early intervention specialists, social workers, psychologists, health care professionals, and occupational, physical and speech therapists.
Dedicated Exhibit Hall hours bring attendees to you so you have time to meet your customers and make
sales. Our Exhibit Hall hours are planned around events taking place directly in the Exhibit Hall to ensure
traffic during peak times.
The Division for Early Childhood was started in 1973 by a group of volunteers who cared deeply about the development of young children with special needs. DEC is one of 17 divisions of the Council for Exceptional Children (CEC), the largest professional organization dedicated to improving the educational success of individuals with disabilities and/or gifts and talents.
