The Independent Oracle Users Group (IOUG), along with the Oracle Applications Users Group (OAUG) and Quest International Users Group (Quest), annually host the premier event for Oracle users – COLLABORATE – which brings 5,000+ Oracle technology and applications professionals to one venue for Oracle education, customer exchange and networking.
5,500 of the Oracle industry’s best and brightest arrived in at the Orange County Convention Center (OCC) in Orlando Florida April 10th-14th to attend COLLABORATE 11. Their mission: To gain top-notch Oracle education from numerous IOUG-hosted sessions, to meet and network with fellow IOUG members and like-minded professionals, and to return home and impart the wisdom they gained with others. With over 1200 sessions, the event offered soup to nuts education for the entire Oracle professional community.
COLLABORATE 11 packed the halls of the OCC with energy and excitement beginning Sunday, April 10. Attendees arrived eager to dig in to the IOUG Deep Dive sessions, departing with comprehensive lessons learned across a host of popular topics, including data warehousing and content management. After a day of intense learning, the IOUG Security Hackfest & Welcome Reception provided a welcome opportunity for hackers and database security, and those just wanting food and beer, faced off against one another in a series of hacking competitions that evening. It was a great combination of testing your hacking skills with individuals who just wanted to talk shop.
