Cape Cod Scallop Fest 2016

Cape Cod Fairgrounds
Consumer 50,000

Event Overview:

The Annual Scallop Fest is a long-time tradition first started in the Town of Bourne in 1969 and moving to East Falmouth in 2014. Patrons from all over the country stay at nearby lodging facilities, shop at stores, and dine at nearby restaurants.

The Annual Scallop Fest is an economic development bonanza for the canal region. The Fest increases tourism and creates employment opportunities for hundreds of local people..

The people we employ supplement the 500 volunteers who help manage the Fest over the weekend, including the Barnstable County Sheriff’s Office that helps set up and breakdown the grounds.

The focus of the festival is, of course, our great Fried Scallop or Herb-roasted Chicken dinners, prepared by  J & J Concessions, Roger & Hope Pinard of Lakeville, Massachusetts. You can enjoy your meal inside or take your meal outside, sit at a picnic table and listen to the great entertainment.

From other vendors, you can partake of Chowder, Lobster Rolls and all types of salads. We also have a Raw Bar to be enjoyed with an ice cold beer or glass of wine.  Make sure to save some room for dessert, you can delight in Strawberry Shortcake or Ice Cream. If you are interested in snacking your way around the Fesitval, stop by and pick up some Fried Dough, KettleCorn and thirst quenching Lemonade or Strawberry Smoothies.
