ATS 2018 will offer the latest information on clinical, basic and translational science in pulmonary, critical care and sleep medicine.
The International Conference is the professional educational highlight of the ATS and is one of the largest gatherings of pulmonary, critical care, and sleep clinicians and researchers in the world. Held annually, the conference attracts 14,000-15,000 diverse attendees to present and hear the latest and most significant developments in clinical practice; clinical, basic, and translational research; health advocacy; and professional and patient education.
The ATS provides a thriving, interactive venue for the presentation of original research from more than 5,500 scientific abstracts and case reports. Our mini-symposia, thematic poster, and poster discussion sessions are interactive experiences for each investigator presenting his or her discoveries and research findings. With 500 sessions and 800 speakers, the International Conference is intense, and participants attend sessions and special events from early morning to the evening.
Who Should Attend
The strength of the ATS International Conference is that it is multidisciplinary. Beyond the Society’s three pillars - pulmonary, critical care, and sleep - clinicians and researchers in many other fields attend the conference, enriching the conversation and leading to insights that ultimately improve patient care. Among the many other specialties represented in sessions at the International Conference are:
Environmental and Occupational Health
Pediatric Pulmonary, Critical Care, and Sleep
Equally important, the ATS International Conference gathers the health care team so essential for effective patient care in one place to share ideas across these medical and scientific disciplines.
ATS 2018 is an ideal place for nurses, respiratory therapists, and hospitalists to contribute to the conversation by discussing their experiences, challenges, and research so that all can learn about the latest advances in understanding pulmonary disease, critical illness, and sleep disorders.
This is the preeminent conference on pulmonary, critical care, and sleep medicine in the United States. The ATS appreciates the significant contributions made by exhibiting and supporting companies. As one of the largest professionally attended pulmonary meetings in the United States, and the first healthcare meeting to have an independent-third party audit of the registration data performed, the goal is to make this conference an increasingly productive and profitable experience for you.
Attendees want to learn about the newest advances and technologies in pulmonary, critical care, and sleep medicine. Promote your brand and extend your reach by exhibiting here.
Founded in 1905 as the American Sanatorium Association to prevent, control, and treat tuberculosis; renamed the American Trudeau Society in 1938 and the American Thoracic Society in 1960. Originally the medical section of the American Lung Association, the Society became independently incorporated in 2000 as a 501 (c) (3) organization.
The American Thoracic Society improves global health by advancing research, patient care, and public health in pulmonary disease, critical illness, and sleep disorders.
