The American Transplant Congress is the Joint Annual Meeting of the American Society of Transplant Surgeons and the American Society of Transplantation. 

The ATC is the foremost educational event in the field of basic and clinical transplantation.

The American Transplant Congress is designed for physicians, surgeons, scientists, nurses, organ procurement personnel and pharmacists who are interested in the clinical and research aspects of solid organ and tissue transplantation.  The meeting will provide the most current information in the field of transplant science.

Overview of the American Transplant Congress (ATC)

  • To provide a forum for exchange of new scientific and clinical information relevant to solid organ and tissue transplantation.
  • To create an arena for the interchange of ideas regarding care and management of organ and tissue transplant recipients.
  • To facilitate discussions of the socioeconomic, ethical and regulatory issues related to solid organ and tissue transplantation.

For the 2017 Congress, we head to Chicago, IL and will hold the Congress in the McCormick Place - Lakeside Center. The center is conveniently located near a number of hotels that have easy access to the venue as well as shopping and restaurants.

The American Society of Transplant Surgeons represents approximately 1,800 professionals dedicated to excellence in transplantation surgery. Our mission is to advance the art and science of transplant surgery through leadership, advocacy, education, and training.

Founded in 1982, the American Society of Transplantation (AST) is an organization of more than 3,300 professionals dedicated to advancing the field of transplantation and improving patient care by promoting research, education, advocacy, and organ donation. The society is the largest transplant organization in North America and is recognized as the premier society for transplantation. AST members are sought out as transplant experts and advocates. Other transplant organizations, policy makers, regulatory agencies, payors, academic institutions, and the general public look to the AST for guidance, research, and resources related to transplantation.
