APNA 13th Annual Clinical Psychopharmacology Institute (CPI) - American Psychiatric Nurses Association

Overview

Event Overview:

Designed to present a state-of-the-science understanding of psychopharmacologic nursing practice across the lifespan, the APNA Clinical Psychopharmacology Institute (CPI) delivers cutting edge psychopharmacology updates, research, and trends to professionals looking to provide the best possible care to their patients.

This year’s program is packed with the most current practices and insights in clinical psychopharmacology, opportunities to network with nurse colleagues, and the chance to earn up to 23.5 continuing education contact hours.*

CPI is unique in that it is a psychopharmacology conference tailored specifically for psychiatric-mental health nurses by those who know their needs best - psychiatric-mental health nurses themselves. Across the board, it prioritizes the integration of scientific findings into the psychopharmacologic practice of nurses in the field.

*The content of this CNE activity pertains to pharmacology. Because states' requirements may vary, contact your Board of Nursing for more information.

Exhibitor Information:

The Clinical Psychopharmacology Institute (CPI) focuses on complex clinical issues and is targeted for specialists in psychiatric nursing - those who administer and/or prescribe medications.  The 2014 CPI had over 450 registrants with approximately 90% being Advanced Practice Nurses. This year, APNA expects 500 registrants to attend the 2015 CPI in Baltimore, MD.

Table-top exhibits are sold on a first-come first-served basis. The exhibits are located in the immediate foyer of the general session room in a high-traffic area where attendees gather.

About APNA:

The American Psychiatric Nurses Association (APNA) was founded in 1986. In the ensuing 28 years, APNA has grown to be the largest professional membership organization committed to the specialty practice of psychiatric-mental health (PMH) nursing and wellness promotion, prevention of mental health problems, and the care and treatment of persons with psychiatric disorders.
