About the American Institute of Architects

Since 1857, the AIA has represented the professional interests of architects. As AIA members, more than 76,000 licensed architects, emerging professionals and allied partners in design express their commitment to excellence and livability in our nation’s buildings and communities. The AIA National Convention and Design Exposition is the premier event for architects and building industry professionals.

AIA Expo2011 introduced attendees to approximately 800 exhibitors displaying and demonstrating the newest products, technologies, and services—professional resources to implement in an architects' practice, as well as current and future projects.
