The Nation’s Capital Dental Meeting (NCDM) began in 1931 with just a few like-minded members of the District of Columbia Dental Society (DCDS). At the height of the depression, friends and colleagues came together in a Washington hotel to listen to a national speaker of the day address the future of Dentistry. The meeting has changed names many times over the past 81 years and has grown from a one day lecture, which was attended by a few hundred DCDS dentists and their friends, to the largest dental meeting in the Mid-Atlantic region with over 4,000 attendees annually. The meeting attracts dentists from across the nation and abroad to the capital of the United States of America where attendees have listened to internationally recognized speakers such as Gordon Christensen, Peter Dawson, Linda Miles, Lyndon Cooper, Steve Buchannan, and Mel Hawkins to name but a few. Today the NCDM continues to grow and has expanded from its original mission to provide an annual meeting for local professionals into one of the most prestigious meetings in the country.
The meeting will feature an outstanding three day commercial exhibition and extensive clinical sessions that will attract every member of the dental team. The Nation’s Capital Dental Meeting annually attracts more than 4,000 dental professionals from around the world.
