The goal of the conference is to provide an educational forum where health care employers, ergonomics, safety, and health professionals, health care employees, and others can share and gain knowledge about current evidence-based and best practices in health care ergonomics, safe patient handling, and worksite wellness initiatives.

The conveners of this event come together with a solid history of four prior successful health care ergonomics conferences in Portland, Oregon, and Tacoma, Washington. They anticipate strong regional and national attendance of at least 350 people, many of them hospital, clinic, and long-term care personnel with responsibility for developing and managing ergonomics, safe patient handling, and wellness programs in their facilities.
