The annual Interferry conference is the longest running international event devoted to the ferry industry. For 39 years the conference has been held in venues around the world. Interferry has grown rapidly over the past few years, now consisting of 237 member companies from 38 countries. Members include owners/operators, ship builders and designers, equipment manufacturers and suppliers, consultants, classification societies, shipbrokers, publishers and others with an interest in the ferry industry.
Interferry also represents the industry at regulatory forums. It has Consultative Status at the International Maritime Organization (IMO) and Observer Status at the European Community Shipowners Association (ECSA). Interferry has strong connections with other shipping associations including International Chamber of Shipping, BIMCO, the US Passenger Vessel Association, the UK Passenger Shipping Association, the Danish Car Ferry Association and the Canadian Ferry Operators Association.
