Event Overview:

Program Theme: Chemistry of the People, by the People and for the People

ACS organizes two national meetings & expositions each year, and each one attracts an estimated 11,000 to 14,000 chemists, chemical engineers, academicians, graduate and undergraduate students, and other related professionals. During the meeting, scientists present new multidisciplinary research, hear the latest information in their areas of professional interest, and network with colleagues. Programming is planned by our 33 technical divisions that cover all scientific fields, secretariats that focus on multidisciplinary programming, and ACS committees. Each meeting will feature more than 7,000 presentations organized into technical symposia that highlight important research advances.

Discover New Research and Publish Your Work

With between 7,000 and 9,000 papers presented at each meeting in hundreds of half-day oral sessions and nearly 100 poster sessions, the opportunities to encounter cutting-edge science are endless. ACS national meetings & expositions offer researchers the chance to publish their work at one of the most respected scientific meetings in the world.

Advance Your Career

At an ACS national meeting & exposition, connect with potential employers during the Career Fair. Enhance your skills by taking an ACS Short Course or participating in a workshop. Almost every facet of the ACS national meeting & exposition offers you the opportunity for career advancement and increasing your desirability to employers.

Network with Your Peers

An ACS national meeting & exposition offers you unparalleled opportunities to network with your peers. Attend the Sci-Mix interdivisional poster session and social hour with more than 3,000 fellow attendees. Investigate the dozens of other social events in the preliminary and onsite programs. Typical events include the Women Chemists Committee program focusing on the careers of women chemists and specialty programs sponsored by the Committee on Chemists with Disabilities, Office of Diversity Programs, Younger Chemists Committee, and nearly all of our technical divisions.

Learn about New Technologies

A visit to the ACS national exposition gives you the chance to meet more than 300 exhibitors, many of whom are showcasing new technological developments. A number of exhibitors also offer free workshops during the meeting so you can learn more about these state-of-the-art technologies.

Exhibitor Information:

As an ACS exhibitor, you will interact with enthusiastic scientists who are eager to learn more about your products and services. In our aisles, you will encounter prospective customers (the people you want to meet), as well as existing clients (the people who look forward to seeing you). Our members tell us that they visit the Exposition to explore products and services that will help them to improve R&D, business, and laboratory operations and to investigate new technologies and techniques in instrumentation, laboratory equipment, software, hardware, publications, analytical, and R&D services. Exhibiting at ACS also provides your company with access to other U.S. and international suppliers of business-to-business products and services.

Exhibitor Programs for Interacting with Attendees

Only ACS exhibitors are permitted to interact with our attendees through our exclusive advertising and sponsorship program. ACS offers a wide range of exhibitor programs designed to assist you to attract and educate your target customers during our shows:

Meet chemists in certain specialties by participating in the meeting’s research and social components alongside ACS technical divisions and committees.

Attract new customer leads by ensuring that your company is visible at the show through pre-show communications, advertising in meeting programs, Info2Go literature displays, sponsorships, booth giveaways, and other promotions.

Further your existing relationships with your current customers through hosting workshops that emphasize new applications, customer appreciation events, private viewings of new products, advertising and sponsorships opportunities, and other networking activities.

Explore your competition in a non-threatening environment, and develop business-to-business contacts and valuable partner-supplier connections.
