2015 Leaning Forward Annual Conference
The Annual Conference offers education leaders the connections, tools, learning opportunities, and resources they need to understand and implement effective professional learning in their schools immediately.
Learning Forward's 2015 Annual Conference in Washington, D.C. Dec. 5-9 provides educators with outstanding content and valuable tools to bring the most powerful forms of professional learning back home to the educators with whom they work.
Attendees will learn from both the innovative work of their peers and the perspectives of national leaders. Participants will become skilled in assisting their colleagues in data-driven decision making, as well as in planning, implementing, and assessing the impact of school-based professional learning. In addition, participants will more deeply understand the attributes of high-functioning schools teams and learning communities and the actions they can take as leaders to advance this agenda.
Keynote speakers include Rehema Ellis, Michael Horn, and Yong Zhao. Other featured speakers include Marc Tucker and Ben Jensen, Michael Garret and Kwang Suk Yoon, Sean McComb, Jon Bergmann, Steven Katz and Lisa Dack, Kathryn Parker Boudett, Marcia Tate, Kristen Swanson, Michael Toth, Jim Knight, Carol Jago, and Tim Kanold, and others.
Sessions will address pressing issues facing today's educators, including:
Implementing college- and career-ready standards;
Presentation and facilitation skills;
Online and blended learning; and
