It’s impossible to come to the State Fair of Texas and not enjoy amazing food.  We are the Fried Food Capital of Texas after all.  In addition to turkey legs, corny dogs and other fried inventions, the State Fair has daily cooking demonstrations in the Celebrity Kitchen and culinary competitions.  Be sure to mark the Creative Arts building on your map and stop by to check out these fun events.

Family Fun

Even the littlest family members will enjoy the State Fair.  With activities and attractions geared toward kids of all ages, everyone will have a chance to experience something unique.

The State Fair offers FREE daily activities like Pee Wee Stampede and Kid’s Pedal Tractor Pulls which puts kids right into the action. But there are also incredible educational opportunities here.  Little Hands on the Farm demonstrates how agricultural products go from farm to table and Big Tex’s Barnyard has exhibits that show how food is produced.

Auto Show

The State Fair of Texas has presented new vehicles since 1904, but today’s show developed after World War II.
