The American Roentgen Ray Society, founded in 1900, is the first and oldest radiology society in the United States. The society has been a forum for progress in radiology since shortly after the discovery of the X-ray and is dedicated to the goal of the advancement of medicine through the science of radiology and its allied sciences. The goal of the ARRS is maintained through an annual scientific and educational meeting and through publication of the American Journal of Roentgenology.
The annual meeting consists of instructional courses, scientific paper presentations, forum, scientific exhibits, and commercial exhibits. A special categorical course is also offered. Category 1 CME credits are available on an hour-for-hour basis. All members of the Society may attend the annual meeting with discounted payment of the general registration fee.
The majority of the nearly 2,300 physicians who attend ARRS annual meetings are hospital-based/hospital-based private practice physicians or in an academic or research setting. They are interested in the latest products and services to deliver the highest quality patient care.
