It is the mission of the American Association of Swine Veterinarians to increase the knowledge of swine veterinarians by:

-promoting the development and availability of the resources which enhance the effectiveness of -professional activities

-creating opportunities which inspire personal and professional growth

-advocating science-based approaches to industry issues

-encouraging personal and professional interaction

-mentoring students, encouraging life-long careers as swine veterinarians

The 2012 AASV Annual Meeting will be held March 10-13, 2012 at the Hyatt Regency in Denver, Colorado. Based on previous meeting attendance, we expect approximately 900 attendees, including 600 swine veterinarians and more than 100 veterinary students. The primary function of the meeting is to provide continuing education to swine veterinarians. Non-veterinary attendance is limited to AASV Affiliate Members, veterinary students, invited speakers, and Technical Table representatives. Typically, 20-25% of AASV meeting attendees are from outside the United States, with registrants from more than twenty different countries.

Approximately 60 companies participate each year in the AASV Technical Tables display. These include pharmaceutical and biological companies, equipment manufacturers, genetics and seedstock suppliers, nutritional and feed ingredient companies, technology systems providers, and industry publications.
