10th Annual International Orthopaedic Trauma Course In San Francisco

Overview

The Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of California, San Francisco and the Division of Orthopaedic Surgery at the San Francisco General Hospital are pleased to announce the “10th Annual International San Francisco Orthopaedic Trauma Course”, to be held April 30-May 2, 2015 at the new InterContinental San Francisco hotel on Howard Street. We are expecting approximately 475-525 attendees in attendance. The course will draw from the distinguished faculty in the UCSF Department of Orthopaedic Surgery, as well as a group of visiting academicians from North America, Europe and Central America.

The overall goal of this program is to address increased physician competence, learn new and evolving concepts in trauma and fracture management through didactic lectures, case presentations, and hands-on practice with the latest implants from international leaders in the field of orthopaedic traumatology.

At the conclusion of this educational activity participants should be able to:

  1. Review orthopaedic trauma principles
  2. Improve skills and assess advancements in surgical techniques through hands-on plating, external fixation, and intramedullary nailing methodology.
  3. Apply technological advancements that can be brought readily to the clinical setting of orthopaedic trauma care, including osteobiologics and instrumentation.
