EventsInAmerica.com spoke with David Schenberg, Chief Evangelist of BusyEvent Mobile, at IAEE’s Expo! Expo! in Los Angeles.
EIA: What trends do you see for your business in 2015?
David Schenberg: Everyone’s talking indoor mapping. I think this year, we’ll see several technology suppliers foray into that – and who’s responsible for that technology will actually drive that business. So when the venues take responsibility for it, that’s when we’ll actually see it really take off.
What would you like to accomplish for BusyEvent in 2015?
We’re really focused on our white-label partnerships. Being able to take our entire platform, put someone else’s brand on it – an event producer or an association management company – and help them develop custom apps of their very own for their clients, as opposed to having them push that out to third parties and lose control. We’re finding companies are really drawn to the concept of wanting to control the data and the monetization of that data. We’re finding good ways to help companies do that.
